Robert Ronald Nehring

Age 75

December 21, 1942 – March 2, 2018

Bob was born on December 21, 1942 in Chicago, Ill.  Son of Harold Nehring and Ruth Ann (Litvan) Nehring.  Bob served 9 years in the Army.  He had 2 tours in Vietnam and was stationed in Germany.  Bob was awarded the Bronze Star.  After the Army, Bob worked for Wilson Sports and the V.A. Hospital in Chicago.  He transferred to the V.A. Hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan.  His last job brought him to the Kalamazoo Public School System.   Bob retired in 2004.  Hobbies that Bob enjoyed were golf, hunting, reading and watching television.  

Bob is survived by his son Cole (Misty) Nehring and daughter, Vicki (Dave) Griggs: his grandchildren, Lane & Myles Nehring: his brothers Roger & Rodney Nehring and sister, Nina Parr and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents Harold & Ruth and brother Randy Nehring.  

A graveside funeral service will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta Michigan at 2:30 pm on May 4, 2018
