You only get to meet a small number of special people while you're on this earth. Bob was one of my special people. We served together in Vietnam and enjoyed many rounds of golf together when we were in better health. I enjoyed his company and will miss him very much. Rest now my friend and God bless you. I plan to attend the Fort Custer service on May. 4th.

Bob, you were a real, standup guy.
Hope someone can fill just part of the gap that you left in the world.

I would like to convey my sympathies to Bob's family. I had the privilege of serving in the 127th MP Company in Qui Nhon, Vietnam under "Big" Bob. He was a father figure to many of us who served with him, always worried about his "boys". We played a little golf together in Kalamazoo many years after we returned and rekindled old friendships. All of us who served with him will miss him.

Bob will be dearly missed here at St. Jude's Church in Gobles. He always had a special chair and a special place in our hearts. May God bless him.
