My deepest and dearest condolence to the Family and church family of Earnest Armstrong. Deacon Armstrong will be greatly missed by the Bethlehem Temple of Springfield Church. He was a very Faithful member at our church we could call him to help in the church at all times. The church doors were always opened when Deacon Armstrong was with us. Deacon Armstrong always was a giver also, when strangers had a need he was one of the members that would reach in his pocket and contribute to the need. He loved his gospel songs like the Williams brothers & Mighty Clouds of Joy. He loved his family and Friends and showed it. Deacon Armstrong had no problem with discipline when it came to children being disrespectful. Deacon Armstrong you were one of a kind and full of life, joy, jokes, and smiles. Your church Family Loved you very much, I'm not sure how we are going to handle your best friend Deacon Joe without you, but God will make a way.

Sending Prayers and Condolences to Codie, Trachon, Ernest Jr., Lorenzo, Maureena Prude-Armstrong, his in-laws, and his Bethlehem Temple Of Springfield Church Family. I can’t speak on his life outside of church but I can and will say he served the Lord every chance he got. He was extremely dedicated to the late Pastor Ollie Mae Rudolph, to the church as a whole and he served as a Deacon, an Usher and everything else they needed him to do in the church. Even after Pastor Rudolph fell asleep, Ernest continued to due his duties in the church upon the leadership of Pastor Tony Thomas. As long as Ernest was around, the church never had to ask Ernest to do the job because if and when he spotted something needed some tlc or some attention, he was Johnny On The Spot. There was never anything this man wouldn’t do. Every church need to be blessed with an Ernest Armstrong. Even though he wasn’t perfect and had his imperfections like we all do, there will never be another Lead Foot, dedicated Deacon like Ernest. You fought a long but good fight. And through all your woes, you still remained an outgoing, hard working dedicated Soldier in The Lord. Your huge, contagious smile will be missed dearly here on earth but you are just the perfect servant up in Heaven. Rest Peacefully In Heaven Brother Armstrong. From my family to yours….
