Obituary of Sandra Lee Baptiste

Sandra Lee Stampfler - Baptiste age 79, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 27, 2022. Sandy was born on February 27, 1942, in Comstock, MI. As the daughter of the late Elmer J and Mary "Liz" (Stratton) Boyer. Sandy was a people person. Her love and selflessness have gone unmatched as even her children's friends knew they always had a place to call home as she took them under her wing. Sandy genuinely enjoyed caring for special needs adults in her home for 20 + years. She also worked at Beach Products for 20 + years alongside many of her friends and family. After retirement, Sandy worked at Coldwater Creek until they closed. She was united in marriage to Aime Baptiste on February 24, 1990. She loved their quality time gardening in their backyard paradise. Sandy enjoyed dancing, snowmobiling, and singing karaoke at Sandra's Retreat. Sandy will be greatly missed by her children: Dale Hageman of Kalamazoo, Kelly Scott of Kalamazoo, Kimberly (James) Woodard of Kalamazoo, and John Stampfler of Kalamazoo. Her step-children: Sandy K. Stampfler, Gary (Peggy) Baptiste, Cheryl (Duane) Baptiste, Jeff (Tammy) Baptiste, Brynn (Kathy) Baptiste, Douglas (Lisa) Baptiste, and Amy (Mark) Malott, Kevin (Sue) Baptiste. Her sisters Peggy Whipple and Marilyn Terburg. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and her special companion, a dog named Bo. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Aime Baptiste, her brother Ed Boyer, sisters Linda Rodenburger and Donna Rickstad; her brothers-in-law, Larry Whipple, Pete Terburg, and Albert Rickstad. Stepchildren Neil Stampfler, and Randy Baptiste. There will be a family gathering on a further date.
