Obituary of Marvin Alan Motycka

Marvin “Mick” Alan Motycka went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2020. He was born on December 13, 1944 to John Motycka and Mary (Turk) Motycka. He graduated from both Lawton High School and trade school for Tool & Die. Marvin joined the Marine Reserves in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He started working for General Motors in Tool & Die in 1966 and retired after 33 years. In addition to that he took over his fathers farming operation in 1982 and farmed countless acres throughout the years, with combining being his favorite part. He enjoyed classic cars, drag racing, building houses and family gatherings. He loved playing with his Grandchildren and talking to everyone he met. He met Maralyn Hoekstra in 1969 and they married in 1977. He was an amazing, caring, loving husband and father. He had so many talents and there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t do. He could fix a tractor one day, rebuild an engine the next and build a house the third. He always said he wore many hats and would often physically put on a different hat as he changed jobs. He would do anything for his family and even complete strangers. From helping his kids build their dream houses to helping a neighbor bury a dead horse. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents & Grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Maralyn Motycka, sons; James Motycka and Paul (Glenda) Motycka, daughters; Lisa (Jeffery) Shelton and Tonya Motycka, grandchildren Kyle Motycka, Derek VanOrman and Alec VanOrman. Siblings; Cynthia (Clarence) Gobrogge, John Motycka, Robert (Sheila) Motycka, Richard (Peggy) Motycka. A Celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
