Obituary of Kay Louise Holmes

Kay Louise Holmes, age 74, died peacefully at home on July 11, 2019. Kay was a dedicated hard worker for Borgess Hospital Environmental Services for 30 years.  She was a passionate Cubs fan, even known in the neighborhood as the Cubs Lady.  She was kind, loving and had a heart for Jesus.  She enjoyed volunteering for church events, searching for beach glass and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry L. and Genevieve S. Dzialowski; a brother, Thomas Dzialowski; and son, Chad Holmes.  She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all.  She is survived by her children, Kim (Greg) Snow, William Holmes, Daniel Holmes, Karen Holmes and Kristy (Casey Heckman) Holmes; her grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle (Maurissa), Gary (Chelsea) and Emily Snow; Justin, Cory, Christopher, Kalli and Tyler Holmes, and Caitlyn (Jonathan) Butts; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Weston, Grayson and Emerson Snow, Reef Butts, Lenore Holmes, and Cohen Dahlke; brother Michael (Mary) Dzialowski; sister-in-law Karen Dzialowski; and special family friend, Mae Jones.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Kalamazoo Community Church in Comstock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay’s memory to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
