Obituary of Randolph Omelius Pratt, Sr.

Randolph (Randy) O. Pratt Sr. was born August 25, 1936 in Nassau Bahamas.  He exchanged this temporary life for eternal life on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Battle Creek, Michigan.  In 1961, he moved to the United States and on July 29th, 1962 he was united in marriage, to the love of his life, Nora Pratt, in Los Angeles, CA. They were happily married and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 2017.  In 1968 Nora and Randolph relocated to Battle Creek, MI. He was ordained as a Deacon by the Church of God of Prophecy in 1975. He continued his ministry with the with Maranatha Original Church of God where he was an active Deacon. He was always a very active church member. Participating in many ministries, such as, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, worship leader, church bus driver and where ever needed.  He truly was a man of God and loved the Lord.  He was employed by Milbocker and Sons, as a Foreman. He was very active in the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwright Local #871.  He was also very involved in politics casting his last vote ten days before his transition.  He enjoyed traveling and most of all being with family. Most of all he was a faithful devoted husband for fifty-five years and loving father.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora L. Pratt, on February 7, 2018, his parents, Eltemon and Gladys Pratt, Grandson: Xavier Glass, Sisters: Maggie Ferguson and Henrietta Hart, Brothers: Edwin and Joel Pratt, and Daughter-in-law: Natalie Renee Ferguson. 

Precious commemorated memories of his life and legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of his CHILDREN: Randolph Omelius Pratt Jr., Phillip Anthony Pratt and Margarietta Annesia Pratt Glass; DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW: Janet and Lori Pratt; SON-IN-LAW, Marcus Glass; BROTHER, Hermis Pratt; Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
