Obituary of Nelson Starks

Nelson Starks was born on February 19, 1936, in Montgomery, Alabama. He was the first child born to his mother Charlotte Starks. After living in Alabama, Nelson relocated to Detroit, Michigan. Life took Nelson down a path that would lead to a Loving courtship with Angenette Starks. 

He married Angenette, the Love of his Life, on February 14^th, 2003. This union led to the raising of 5 wonderful children, Ronnie, James, Julius, Angle, and Eric. Nelson was a simple Man, a tireless worker who did all he could to provide for his family. He enjoyed fishing, westerns and sipping whiskey in his downtime. Nelson believed in The Gospel and put God first. He enjoyed going to Church and putting his faith and praise in The Lord. 

Nelson lost a lengthy battle with cancer on October 31, 2018, at 12:28 a.m. This is a day that will live in our Hearts forever. Proceeding Nelson in death were his wife Angenette Starks, son Nelson Starks Jr. and Mother Charlotte Starks.

He is survived by his sister Carrie Starks, His children and their spouses: Darlene Starks, Ronnie and Kiea Robinson, James Robinson, Julius and Brynda Robinson, Angle and Laron Tanner,  Eric and Sara Robinson, as well as his Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
