Obituary of Khari Addae Davis
On January 2, 1996, Kelly Jerome Blythe and Antwoine Tonette Davis were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Khari(Kingly) Addae (as beautiful as the morning sunrise) Davis.
From the time he entered this world Khari’s smile was contagious and infectious and presence lit up the entire room.
Khari attended Battle Creek Public Schools attaining honors such as: The Presidential Award twice, Honor roll and was awarded numerous scholarships. Throughout his education he was in advanced classes like A.P. Math, English and History. He was also dually enrolled in college courses while in high school. His teachers praised him for being such an intelligent, well-mannered young man who had a tendancty of being the class clown occasionally.
While in elementary school Khari made the decision to take up drumming at Ann J. Kellogg by the late Bill Dowdy. He was a member of the All City Choir and later in life took up the art of rapping. He recorded several music videos: like We Eatin’ and Talk to Em and performed at several venues to include Western Michigan University. Khari also had a love for basketball, football and played sports periodically throughout high school.
After high school, Khari opted to enter the workforce and was employed by local manufacturing companies.
Khari was a very loving and loyal person whose heart was so big he tried to be there for everybody. He believed he could take on the world when it came to the people he loved. He was very protectives of his sisters, family, friends, and he loved his nephews beyond words. He brought smiles and laughter everywhere he went and never met a stranger!
