Obituary of Dana Varden Jacob Farrell Martin

Dana F. Martin was born on February 6th, 1955 in Kalamazoo Michigan and stepped into heaven on September 19th, 2018 in Battle Creek, Michigan.  Dana was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to all.

He started working with his father as a young man and became an exceptionally skilled carpenter who could do anything in the building trade.  Dana loved riding his Harley,it was his passion for freedom.  Flying remote control planes and drones were hobbies Dana enjoyed immensely, and he was a Ham radio operator who spent many hours talking to people all over the world.

He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his Daughters, Tina Martin andDana Lynn Olsen, son Todd (Holly) James, and  grandchildren, Eric Yetter, Jaeleah Stinnett, Skye Olsen, Collin Olsen, Mikayla James, Dylan Jamesand Carter James, Sisters, Vita (Michael) Pike, Gaelen (Les) Fields, Cherise Ezell-Juarez, and Brothers, Lauro (Charlene) Martin, Asaph (Patricia) Martin, Richard Ezell and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded  in death by his father L.V. Martin, mother, Cherie Rae Ezell, niece, Kerisha Ezell, and brother-in law Isidro “Sid” Juarez Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, October 1st, 2018 with a service by Pastor Ken Smeader at 11:am at Kalamazoo Missionary Church 5045 E. Michigan 49048.  A luncheon will follow the service.
