Obituary of Virginia Irene Rockafellow

Dedicated to the memory of Virginia I Rockafellow, age 98 who completed her earthly journey on August 28, 2018, and went to Heaven peacefully to be with her Lord, surrounded by her children. Virginia was born and raised in Otsego, the daughter of Clyde and Irene LaDuke. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry E. Rockafellow “Rocky” in 2013. Virginia served in the local community and was a life-long member of First Baptist church, using her God given talents of teaching and playing the organ. She leaves her loving memories to her be cherished by her children, Charlene (Dick) Knowlton, Sandy (Jim) Smathers, Ann (John) Long, Cathia (Doug) Fritz, Caren (Steve) Kling and Ernest Rockafellow. Also, surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brother, Cleon LaDuke. We will not forget her devotion to family and friends, her encouragement, love of life and service to others. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Otsego, on Satruday, September 15, 2018. Visitation at 10am with a service to follow at 11am, Pastor Merlyn Jones and Pastor Paul Laborde officiating. Luncheon to follow in the church's Family Life Center.
