Obituary of Harold Thomas Shoemaker

Harold Thomas Shoemaker (Pappy) passed away peacefully on July 20, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born September 19, 1941 in Lebanon, IN.  Pappy’s biggest passions were bass fishing, enjoying his summers at Lake Wabana in Minnesota, and his family.  He is survived by his wife Janet of 56 years; four daughters: Cindy (Terry) Snyder, Sherrie (Bryan) Hamilton, Robin (Jeff) McCarty, and Brenda (Glenn) Crow.  He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and his sister Dena Shoemaker.  Pappy is preceded in death by his parents Dora and Virginia, his stepmom Jane, brother John and granddaughter Cassie Campbell.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan.  A Memorial Services will be held on August 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Otsego Moose Lodge.
