Obituary of James Rufus Jackson
James Rufus Jackson passed away suddenly on or about February 25, 2018 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. James was born on February 6, 1970 to his parents Rufus Golden and Nancy Jackson. He graduated from Loy Norrix High School. James worked at TNT janitorial for many years. He also was a part time barber here in Kalamazoo, MI. His favorite artist was Joe, he also loved his soaps; Victor Newman from the Young and Restless and Dr. Phil was his favorite. He also loved wrestling. James had the best sense of humor. He knew how to put a smile on just about anyone face. He is preceded in death by both his parents Rufus Golden and Nancy Jackson, both maternal and paternal grandparents, brothers Joe Louis Jackson & Simmie McClinton. He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Shanika (Phil) Jackson of Scottsdale, AZ; Deontrail Dixon & James Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI & Keyamaya Taylor of Battle Creek, MI. His brothers/sisters Joelee Jackson, Melvin Mitchell, Cornelius Jackson, Bobby Fae (Milton) Andrews & Janice Compton of Kalamazoo, MI a favorite nephew/niece Joey Jackson, Michelle Williams & Shanai Dixon also his girlfriend Latasha Brandon and step-son Demontrey Cox. In addition James Jackson leaves 2 grandchildren Kamilah Jackson & Jeremiah Tibbitt, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Although James has departed from this life, the part time barber will live on in the hearts of the ones that knew and loved him.
