Obituary of Nora Lene Pratt
Nora Lene Pratt was born January 24, 1935, in Asheboro, North Carolina. She exchanged this temporary life for eternal life on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Medilodge of Portage Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
She graduated from Central High in Asheboro, North Carolina and continued her education at Duke University in Durham, NC and received her degree in Nursing. Upon graduation she relocated to Los Angeles, CA where she was employed at Loma Linda Hospital and married the love of her life, Randolph O. Pratt Sr. After a short residency stays in Los Angeles, they relocated back to Asheboro, NC where she was employed at Randolph County Hospital. In 1968 Nora and Randolph relocated to Battle Creek, MI.
She became a Licensed Minister in the Great Church of God in 1955. In 1999 she united with Maranatha Original Church of God where she continued her ministry as a licensed minister, president of the Mother Board and a member of the Missionary Board.
While in Battle Creek she was employed at Community Hospital and had a long lustrous career of 41 years. She also worked with the Oaks Senior Living and Mercy Pavilion. Most of all she was a faithful and devoted wife of fifty-five years and loving mother.
Precious commemorated memories of her life and legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of her HUSBAND: Deacon Randolph Omelius Pratt Sr.; CHILDREN: Randolph Omelius Pratt Jr., Phillip Anthony Pratt and Margarietta Annesia Glass; DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW: Janet and Lori Pratt; SON-IN-LAW, Marcus Glass; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; SISTERS: Mary Jones (Virginia Beach, VA) and Paulette Cooper (Asheboro, NC); BROTHER: Les Everett (Chicago, IL).
Nora was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Xavier Glass; sister, Claudette Cross; brothers, Clemon, Charles and Robert Everett.
