Obituary of Dylan Ray Thomas Gum

Dylan Ray Thomas Gum. Of Kalamazoo, was born December 31, 1994. Dylan went home peacefully to our Lord on February 8, 2018 surrounded by family and friends at Rose Arbor Hospice. He was 23.

Dylan was preceded in death by his brother Brian Gum and a sister Sheena Merkle. Grandfathers, Dennis Gum Sr., Kenneth Madigan and Thomas E. Wycoff. Aunts, Melony Demo and Sherry Rabb. Cousins, Crystal Gum, Anastasia Gum and Tyler Beischl.

Surviving are his proud parents Dennis Gum and Robin Preston. Step parents, Tammy Rantz and Gary Preston. Grandmothers, Sheena Heacock and Ina Madigan.
Dylan is also survived by siblings, Paul and Kristie Merkle, David and Sherri Field, Dennis Gum IV, Jennifer and Ben Haithcox, Amy and Brandy Emerson, Christina Rantz and Matt Elsey. His best friend Joe Branch. Many aunts and uncles. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dylan loved to play video games, work on cars, listen to and write music. He always wanted his hair perfect, so he could charm the ladies. Dylan liked playing yu-gi-oh card game hustling other players, Dylan loved our family dog Roscoe.
Dylan will be missed by everyone. Dylan attended Kalamazoo Missionary Church.

Celebration of Dylan’s Life will take place on Saturday, February 24t  h  at Kalamazoo Missionary Church, located at 5045 East Michigan, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
Friends and family will gather at 10 AM at the church and service will be at 11 AM with a fellowship to follow.
