Obituary of Brock Jacque Smith

Brock Jacque’ Smith Jr., unexpectedly left this life on October 2, 2017, just shy of the gentle age of 4 months. Brock was born June 9, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Brock was a bright-eyed bouncing baby boy. The light of his parent’s life. He had just begun to hold his bottle and rock to music when he heard it. He had become very observant to the world around him. He enjoyed taking car rides with his feet kicked up on his car seat watching things pass by. The smile he gave would brightened up any room. He had stolen many hearts in just a short time.  Brock was truly a blessing to his family. He will be missed tremendously.  Brock is  preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Rechell Smith.  He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Brock Smith, Sr.; father and Aaliyah Bates; mother, both of Kalamazoo, MI.; paternal grandparents, Brock (Tanya) Smith; Jenita“GiGI” Coleman of Kalamazoo, MI.; maternal grandparents, John (Sharee’) Bates of Kalamazoo, MI; paternal great-grandparents: Gretta Wilkins of Kalamazoo, MI., and Berniece Hamilton of Charleston, MO; his great-great grandmother Maudine Coleman of Kalamazoo, MI; Maternal great-grandparent JudyBoyd of Kalamazoo, MI.; six aunts: Shawniece Dixon, Ashley and Brittnay Stegall, Jada Bates, Crystal Harris all of Kalamazoo, MI; and Haylie Reed of Cape, MO; six uncles: Jamel & Jalen Coleman, Devon (Antoinette) Sigsbee, Jahon Bates all of Kalamazoo, MI; Brocquan Smith of Raleigh, NC; and DeTahjwon Walker of Charleston, MO.; a long with a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
