Obituary of Sandra Lynn Goodwin
Sandra Lynn Goodwin was born on November 30, 1956 in Chicago Il, to Ernest and Gladys Goodwin now known as Gladys Robinson. She was the 5th born out of 10 siblings. Sandra was a fun loving child. She loved being outdoors no matter what the season and she really enjoyed playing in the snow and Christmas. She was very creative and would become excited and happy when making something or trying out new things.
Sandra graduated from Allegan Sr. High in 1975 and later received her Associates degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Sandra married Henry Lee Day of Chicago Illinois and from that union was born her two children. Sandra was a very dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a fantastic baker and loved cooking gourmet meals. She could be very soft-hearted and considerate. She had a heart of helping others by occasionally taking someone into her home to help them get on their feet, even when she didn’t have much herself. She loved jazz and gardening as well as remodeling and decorating old furniture and houses.
Family members who are left to cherish her memory are her two children Danielle and Marlon Day as well as her two grandchildren, Jai’amor and Addison Day -Young. Her mother Gladys Robinson and step-father Alfred Robinson. Her siblings, Toni Parker, Carla Norman, Renee Goodwin, Kenneth Goodwin, Lorraine Braxton, Gregory Lindsay, Cory Lindsay. Her brothers Ernest and John preceded her in their home goings. She also leaves a host of relatives, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family members and well as many friends who have been like family.
Although Sandra has crossed over from this life to the next life, she leaves a legacy of love and joy in the hearts of everyone who really knew her.
