Obituary of Janice McGuire

Janice Jefferson McGuire, was born the spring of March 22, 1965 in Picayune, Mississippi.  She was the third child of Lyl Maxie Jefferson & George E. Jefferson, Sr.  Janice became a member of Macedonia M. B. C. at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Earl F. Young, Sr., she was reunited with Macedonia M.B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Timothy Troxler.  Janice was an active and enthusiastic person with an infectious smile. She was a graduate of Battle Creek Central H.S. and completed and received her cerificate from the School of Cosmetology. She worked a variety of jobs and was lastly employed by Progressive Resident Services, as a resident caregiver. All persons in her care loved and appreciated her. Her hobbies Included: traveling, music, attending concerts, shopping for shoes, reading and spending time with family and friends. Janice was united in holy matrimony to Jerry McGuire until his untimely death. She leaves to cherish her memory:  a devoted, dedicated, and beautiful daughter Twana Payne; step-children: Cynthia McGuire-Truitt of Battle Creek, MI., Jerryette McGuire-White of Los Vega, NV., Eric McGuire of Battle Creek, MI.; her loving parents: Lyl M. Jefferson, George E. Jefferson, Sr.; siblings: Deborah A. White, George E. Jefferson, Jr., Cynthia A. (Jerrell ) Stephens, all of Battle Creek, MI., Carolyn (Willie) Hubbard of Indianapolis, IN.; a special uncle John (Rand) Green of Kalamazoo, MI., her aunt Gloria J. Jefferson of Oak Park, MI.; her best friend Jeffery Monroe; two special daughters:  Sequana Harris of Indianapolis, IN., and Asia Brown of Erie, Pa.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and BEST FRIENDS too numerous to name, she loved them all.
