Obituary of Delphine Anderson

Delphine Anderson departed this life on June 13, 2017 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born on August 22, 1958 in Chicago, IL to the late Mattie Lee Johnson.  Delphine married Nicky Anderson in 1976 and later married Steven Thomas in Covert, MI on February 7, 2007.  She was baptized at an early age and attended Greater New Bethel Baptist Church.  Delphine attended Edward Coles Elementary and Bowen High School in Chicago, IL.  She was a Fun, Loving free spirit with a larger than life personality; she will be remembered for her contagious laugh and bright smile. She loved music, her kids and her grandkids. She will also be remembered for her Strength, she endured a lot of obstacles in life but persevered through them all.

Delphine is preceded in death by her beloved son Bernard Kye, her sisters Alfreda Johnson, and Janet Johnson, and her brother Darren Johnson.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory, 5 sons: Aaron Johnson Sr., Mario Johnson Sr., Antonio Johnson, Stanley Kye, and Isaiah Johnson; one daughter Angel Johnson: 3 sisters: Joyce Johnson, Jeanette Johnson, Rochelle Johnson; 6 brothers: Bennie Johnson, Alfred Johnson, Carl Johnson, Cardell Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Timothy Johnson; 25 Grandchildren and 3 great grand children along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Although Delphine has departed from this life, she will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
