My heartfelt condolences go out to this family. I pray that the peace of God dwell in your hearts & minds not just today but everyday after today. I was just in this same place so I know when the dust settles & when everyone leaves is when reality truly kicks in. I will indeed miss Mother Flake. She was a true woman of God, a true Pioneer. She will be missed but her legacy, all of the sermons she preached & hardcore teaching will truly ring in our hearts & minds.

Mother Birdie Sue Flakes was a feminine warrior in the Army of the Lord. God has promoted this woman of God. We will miss her and we celebrate her service to God and to His people. First Lady Shon Flake-Stokes, we will continue to keep you and your family lifted to God in prayer. Love you!

Mother,
Heaven knows that you knew how to set things in order, with your character and pattern that can never be erased.
When I needed you for sound and profound advice, you were there to help me with your virtuous wisdom that could only come from Jesus Christ.
There were many women in the Bible that made history and their story was recorded.
Setting the example for me and living a holy life before all, so sweet and discreet, will be your story that I will continue to tell.
Thank you for believing, training, and imparting your wisdom and love in me.
You are never far from my thoughts and forever close to my heart.

Mother Flake was a woman that the Lord raised up who was strong and uncompromising in preaching the gospel. Mother Flake prepared the way for so many others (both men & women) to release God's glory. As a true "Trailblazer" Mother Flake carried the anointing of God in the highways/bi-ways compelling others to come to Christ. Mother Birdie Sue Flake is the epitome of Psalms 104:4 "Who makes his angles spirits, His minister a flame of fire." May the Legacy of Mother Flake continue to be a flame of fire in all the lives that she has touched. My prayers to her spouse, Overseer Versie Flake and daughter Shon Flake-Stokes and the entire Flake Family.

Mother Flake will never be forgotten. Her work in the Kingdom of God speaks for itself. I remember her as a little girl at Pentecostal COGIC back in the 70's. She would run a revival and preach like there was no tomorrow. She walked in power and anointing. Mother Flake's legacy will live on through her natural and spiritual family. God bless the memory of Mother Birdie Sue Flake.
