Obituary of Ervin Fance

Ervin Fance Jr. Returned to his heavenly home on April 6, 2017 in kalamazo, Michigan after a valiant battle. Ervin's firm belief in God strengthened him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. He was born June 24, 1946 to Mr. Ervin Fance Sr. and Bishop Lillie Mae (Jackson)Gainous in Quincy, Fl. Ervin gave his heart to the Lord at an early age @ Church of Jesus Christ Lord Savior in Florida. He completed job Corp where he achieved his master mechanic license. Ervin utilized his skills as a master mechanic for the city of kalamazoo for many years. Mr. Fance was one of the first directors on the board of the family health center in kalamazoo, Michigan in 1971. Ervin's professional life allowed him to journey into employment at Tallahassee trucking company in Tallahassee, FL. In 1973 Ervin and Linda Kay Dunning (Wade) wed and into this union 6 children were born. Willie, Corey, Joseph, Reha, Ervin, AND Naquaay. He had a love for experiencing new things and taking time to appreciate natural beauty. He also enjoyed fishing, farming, AND was an avid hunter. Ervin was proceeded in death by his parents Mr. Ervin Fance Sr. and Bishop Lillie Mae (Jackson) Gainous, his brother Willie James Thomas, and daughter Tia. Ervin AKA "Slim" also know as "EJ" was a kind, calm, jive talking fella. Ervin leaves to cherish his memories the mother of his children Linda (Luther) Wade, his children Willie (Tara) Kirkland, Corey Fance, Joseph (Cheri) Fance, Reha (Orville) Alexander, Ervin (Darkisha) Fance, and Naquaay Fance. Grandchildren Donte`, Porsha, Ervin, Donnjahnik, Dasia, Anautica, Ashlyn, Mikayla, Reniya, Cassie, Keaton, Landon, Ehvan, and Arionna. Brothers Jimmy (Prince)Blakeley of Greensboro, FL, and Arthur (Nancy) Blakeley of Crestview, FL. Sisters Minnie Lee (James) West of Panama city, FL, Ella Mae (Johnnie) Hodge Ft. Petersburg, FL, Aggie Mae (James) Monroe of Gainesville, FL, and Edna Lee (Lemond) Peterman in Tallahassee, FL. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
