Obituary of Coty Justin Lee
Sadly, Coty Justin Lee left us on Monday, February 20th, 2017. Gloriously, he has taken his journey to the pearly Gates of Heaven to be with or amazing Lord and his best friend and father, Steve Lee.
Coty was born on May 21st, 1985 to Steve and Beth Lee—He was the joy of their lives. Coty was an avid fan of music, old and new. Playing his guitar and singing made his heart and soul soar. His “pups”, Duke and Chance, were everything to Coty.
Coty had a sick heart, but it was full of love for everyone. He judged no one and forgave all. Coty was strong, loyal and true to his words. His greatest gift was his ability to make people laugh—to make them happy.
Fishing down the Kalamazoo River with James were some of Coty’s fondest memories. He loved sports; Detroit all the way!
Coty Lee was a remarkable and upstanding young man. He fought for his life with amazing strength. He will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless you Coty Lee! We love and miss you.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father Steven W. Lee, Barbara J. Stevens (Grandma Peanut Butter), Joan and ML Kreeger (Grandparents), Wendell Osie Lee (Grandfather), Paula Clearwaters (Aunt), Margaret Lee (Aunt) and Spencer Husted (loyal friend).
Surviving are his mother Beth Ann Lee; Aunts and Uncles Daniel and Lisa Stevens, Mark Stevens, Kate and John Chandler, Cher Lee, Deb Lee, Michael and Nancy Lee, numerous cousins, and special devoted friends: Sabrina, Billy, Mario, Brock, James, Rob, Johnie and Jodi.
End-of-life cremation has taken place. The memorial for Coty will be noon on Saturday, March 4th at Millwood United Methodist Church, 3919 Portage Road, Kalamazoo, MI. Gathering for a luncheon at the church and a celebration of Coty’s life will be held at the Green Top Tavern following services.
