Obituary of Berniece Lindsey
Bernice Lindsey passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in her home, surrounded by family. Bernice was born June 28, 1929, the daughter of Bennie (Jack) Coleman and Osseola Coleman. Married to James Lindsey and from this union had four children. In 1955 she moved from Leland, Mississippi to Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was the first female to retire from the Kalamazoo General Motors Plant. November 17, 1979, Bernice dedicated her life to serving Jehovah. Being one of Jehovahs Witnesses, Bernice dedicated her life to serving Jehovah. Being one of Jehovahs Witnesses, Bernice took great pleasure in sharing bible truths with others. Bernice will be warmly remembered by her Sons, Marvin Lindsey and Dobie (Yvonne) Lindsey; Daughters, Gilda Baylis and Brenda Thomas; Brothers, Bennie Coleman, Jr. and Stanley Coleman; Sisters, Ms. Lonnie Myrtle, Gloria Coleman and Kate (Melvin) Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents, Osseola (O.C.) Hobbs, Mother and Louis Hobbs, Father; Brothers, Johnnie, Willie and Lonnie Coleman; Sister, Sarah Smith and Granddaughter, Kendra Hill. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory, Grandchildren, Kerry, Jamaal, Taj, Starr, Shawntel, Adam III, Dana, Melody, Teairra, Demetria, Latoya, Marvin Jr., Marvin Brooks and a host of Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
