Obituary of Robert Charles Bowers

Robert C. Bowers died December 26, 2016. He was born December 8, 1931. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years Joyce (Taplin), daughters Karen Yarbrough, Lori Bowers, granddaughter Tiff Yarbrough and his dog Freddie. Bob was a Navy veteran and a long time truck driver. Bob had a sly sense of humor. He retired at the age of 60 to take care of his aging parents Raymond and Ruth Bowers. Bob enjoyed camping and spending time with friends around a campfire. In later years he enjoyed having a summer place at Goff Lake Campground in Marcellus. Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be announced in the spring. “… Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me- but let me go For this is a journey that all must take And each must go alone…”
