Obituary of Mark Lucas Morris

Mark "Luke" Morris passed away quietly in the comfort of his mother's home on the second of
April, 2023. He was 42 years old.

Luke was a life-long sports fan. He played basketball and football in high school and he curated
a respectable collection of baseball cards and basketball cards throughout his life. Luke was a
faithful Detroit Lions fan who stood by his team year after year.

Luke had a strong faith in God. Luke's friends loved him for his faithfulness and kindness. He
was always willing to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement to the people he loved.
Luke's mother, Bette Morris, remembers her son as a loving man and a good friend. Luke's
sense of commitment could be seen in the great care he took for his cars, and the strong
connections he made with the people in his life.

Luke was preceded in death by his father Mark Douglas Morris, grandparents Harley and Rose Bos, Donald Morris, Yvonne
McElhaney; and his favorite aunt, Barbara Lamer.

Luke came from a big, loving family. He is survived by his mother, Bette Morris; his sister,
Mariah Liggon and her husband Kalin; his brother Zakari Morris; his nephews Jaylen and
Jamir Banister; and a big group of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends who loved Luke
deeply.

Per Luke's request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
