Obituary of Bernadine Taylor
In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Bernadine “Bern” Taylor. She was an amazing mother and a grandmother, daughter, sister, and niece. She was full of life and was loved by many friends and family. We hold precious memories that we will cherish and keep in our hearts.
She was born in Chicago Dec 4, 1959, to Nelson Taylor and Martha Caldwell. She has five siblings: two surviving brothers Nelson and Phillip Taylor, and three sisters: Essie, Louise, and Debra, with whom she now peacefully rest.
She later moved to South Haven, where she finished school and found work. She brought four daughters and one son into the world Cheryl Taylor, Latana Primer, Donyeal Taylor, and Jazmonique Harvell.
Moving her family to Kalamazoo, born a daughter Tiffany Taylor. She has 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins who she loved dearly. Bernadine was not only full of fun and funny, but she also loved to dress. She loved and cared for everyone around she was a big-hearted person. Bernadine made sure you ate good and you were going to laugh with her. It was Never a dull moment before she passed.
Bernadine made sure God knew where her heart was, and she gave her life to Him in 2019.
Bernadine eagerly wanted to make her life right with God before she left this earth. So she was baptized and desired to live the best she knew in God. Bernadine went to church to learn how to walk closer to God. Even while struggling with her health, God knew her heart. Not too long ago, she also met her lifelong childhood friend Omari Newman and had plans and dreams of getting married. Her cooking was amazing, and Bernadine loved music and dancing. She also loved to get all done up.
As we continue to celebrate the life of Bernadine Taylor, she would want us as a family to stick together. We will remember your love, struggles, and dedication to your family. You will be missed. God has been good to you despite your health and struggles. Rest well from us all, and we hope to see you again.
