Obituary of Willie L Lee, Jr.

Mr. Willie L Lee, Jr. passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, from health complications on March 2, 2023, with his loving mother by his bedside. He was born on September 6, 1975, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Ora
Mae Lee and Willie L Lee, Sr. who preceded him in death.

Willie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age through his parents. He attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and graduated in 1994 from Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, MI. He worked at the Kalamazoo Gazette for fifteen years. Later, he worked in construction, remodeled kitchens, and bathrooms, and helped to install fences.

Willie is fondly remembered as a quiet and soft-spoken man; yet stubborn, at times. He faithfully watched his sports, especially basketball, and football. He really enjoyed his music, whether it was Rap, R & B, or Old School he would spend hours jamming to his favorites songs and beats.

Willie was truly loved, and he loved his family unselfishly. His family will always remember his warm smile and gentle giant nature, which made everyone feel welcomed and accepted due to his infectious laughter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother Mrs. Ora Mae Lee; his loving sister Ms. Termia Lee of Kalamazoo, MI and brother Mr. Jerry (Jeanne) Galloway of Phoenix, Arizona; a niece and three nephews: Inneary Johnson-Lee and Roland Lee, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI; Jermmel Galloway of Los Angeles, CA and Terrell Galloway of Phoenix, Arizona and very, very special cousins Condoris Moore of Grand Rapids, MI and Charles Halley of Kalamazoo, MI; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by both grandmothers and grandfathers. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest
from their labours; and their works do follow them. Revelation 14:13.
