Obituary of William Thomas Miller, Jr.
William Thomas Miller Jr. (Pow Wow) passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence in Battle Creek, surrounded by his loving family. He was born at Battle Creek Community Hospital on January 7,1958, son of William and Beverly Ann (Richardson) Miller, and was their only child. The family moved to Mendon, MO in 1971. He graduated from Northwestern High School class of 1976 in Mendon. He served in the Army from 1976 to 1978. He moved back to Battle Creek after being discharged.
Thomas met and married the love of his life Sandra Esters on December 7, 1991 and from this union two beautiful daughters was born, Tiana and Tierra Miller.
Thomas enjoyed playing basketball and softball, where he participated in many leagues and tournaments and watching every sport on television. He especially enjoyed watching Horror and Western movies with his family.
Thomas worked as a Machine Operator at Kellogg’s, Koyo, Robert’s Packaging, Denso and Marley Precision.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Sandra and daughters Tiana and Tierra Miller of Battle Creek. Cherished grandchildren; Amaiya Templeton and Aziyr Miller-Templeton. Close friend and the father of his grandchildren Maurice Templeton who he looked at like a son. Grandson, Kai English, and a host of beloved Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and many, many cousins. Sister-in-laws Janice Esters of Chicago, IL, Marilyn Esters-Morris of Battle Creek, MI, Violet Esters of St. Louis, MO. Brother-in-laws Lawrence Esters of Chicago, IL, Harold Miller and Mark Esters of St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
