It’s so hard to know that you had to go through this, sweet friend.
It met Reyna when we both worked at IHOP.
I was a server and she was a hostess. I would always order her food for her because you needed a server to do it for you. I always felt protective of her, I don’t know if it’s because she was so small and felt like my little sister. She had a warmth and smile for everyone and was quick to help others or laugh with you. Don’t quote me on this but I think she used to always get the grilled cheese, which I always thought was funny for some reason.
We lost touch a little when she moved states away and started her family. I always respected Reyna for her strong mind and strong will, which was evident in the graceful way she lived according to her beliefs and pursued natural and holistic practices. Seeing her become a mother seemed so natural for her. The last time we spoke our kids played at the playground together in Parchment and it was obvious to anyone that her kids were her world.
