It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Ruth passed away peacefully on the afternoon of January 5th, 2023 at the home of her daughter and caregiver Jessica. She was surrounded by loving family members, pictures, and memories of the ones she loved most.
Ruth was known for her feisty spirit and her love of all animals. She lived unafraid and had the wonderful ability to meet, chat with, and befriend anyone lucky enough to cross her path. She was a loyal friend to many, and her kind and generous nature will be greatly missed.
In her youth, Ruth was the vice president of her 1974 graduating class at Parchment High School. In the years following her graduation, she married, relocated to Ionia, Michigan, and gave birth to two amazing children; a daughter Jessica, and a son Donald III. She later continued her education by attending Montcalm Community College, graduating with a degree in business. In her later years, Ruth enjoyed crafting and spreading joy and positivity through her creative pursuits. She loved to leave painted rocks with uplifting messages for others to find, and her kindness and thoughtfulness touched the lives of many.
Ruth was also never without her beloved loyal sidekick, Spirit, who accompanied her on all of her visits and adventures.
Above all, Ruth was a devoted mother and grandmother. She respected, was proud of, and deeply loved her two children and all of her grandchildren. Ruth's memory will live on through the countless lives she touched, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Ruth.
