Obituary of Willie Anderson

Willie Anderson known as ( Butte) passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 85 yrs peacefully at Life Care Center in Plainwell Michigan.

Willie was born April 23, 1937, in Bigbee Valley Mississippi to parents of Annie Mae and Earvin Sr Anderson

Willie attended Brooksville High School in Mississippi. He later moved to Florida where he resided for several years and later returned to Kalamazoo Michigan where he resided until his passing.

Willie retired from Checkers Motors after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his son Willie B Reece. Mr. Anderson’s hobbies were cooking, playing cards, and playing the Michigan Lottery. His favorite television series was “ The Heat Of The Night”. A Detroit Lions fan he was and also The La Lakers.

Willie would always open his heart and homes to relatives that needed a place to stay. Traveling and telling his old-time stories was what he really enjoyed.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents Annie Mae and Evrvin Anderson. Son Willie B. Reece; grandson Juwan Reece, 5 brothers. James ( tick) Sammie Lee, JW, Earvin Jr, and Rufus Anderson, two sisters Lizzie Mae Jackson and Mary Calvin. 1 nephew Curtis Lee Anderson and 1 niece Alberta Anderson and one aunt Clara Brooks.

Willie leaves to cherish his Daughter Kimberly Reece ( Kim Ann) Sons Lorenzo Reece and Steven Anderson & Darmarion Anderson and His one sister Ruby Anderson. 3 Grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, 12 nieces, 10 nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. A dear friend Lula Murray

Willie will be missed by all that loved and knew him.
