Obituary of Sally Renee Lemish

Sally Renee Lemish, 64, passed away Monday November 14, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born August 30,1958 the daughter of Gordon L. Ambs and Eleanor A. (Chichester) Ambs, both have preceded her in death. 

Sally graduated Athens High School in 1976, she also attended the Calhoun County Vocational Center where she met her High School Sweetheart of 44 years Michael W. Lemish. Michael swept Sally off her feet and landed them in Remscheid, Germany. They later returned to Battle Creek, MI, where they welcomed their son, Damon M. Lemish. They then moved to Oklahoma City where they had their daughter Renee A (Lemish) Lindsey.  From there they returned to Battle Creek, where she lived out the rest of her days: happy, with lots of laughs, huge smiles and full of LOVE. 

If you met Sally you wouldn’t forget it, she loved everyone and always treated people with love and respect. The fact she has multiple people with 50+ years of friendship attests to it. You might’ve met Sally at waitressing at The Golden Dragon, assembling parts at II Stanley, helping residents at Evergreen Manor or mixing up drinks at Gilkey Lake Tavern.

Sally is survived by her Siblings Lynette (Lowell) Keene, Tom (Barb) Ambs and Randy (Sherry) Ambs, a host of nieces and Nephews, and the loves of her life, Michael, Damon, Renee (Noris) and her special loves; her grandchildren: Juliana Lema, Isabel Lemish, Reuben Lema, Michael Lemish and Daniel Lemish. 

Cremation services were entrusted to Whitley Memorial Funeral Home 303 Balch St. Kalamazoo, MI. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on December 11th, 2022 at Hickory Hills Village 10450 6 Mile Rd. Battle Creek, MI. 11-2pm.  All friends and family are welcomed to attend.  Some snacks and drinks will be provided.
