Obituary of Jeremy Terril Wilson, Sr.

Jeremy Terrill Wilson peacefully passed away and called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday
November 3, 2022. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1980. It was a glorious
day for the family, finally the first grandson was born! He was a big boy; loved to eat. We knew we were in
trouble when the doctor said to start him on solids at 2 months. One would expect a big kid like that would play
football so he did. In fact, it was amazing to watch him play. He would take’em ALL down. I mean, when you
have a dad with a very STRONG voice, excitedly yelling from the sideline, “GET SOME MEAT!!!,” echoed by little
brother, “get some meat!” …,. what else was a kid supposed to do.

JT also liked to draw and became a tattoo artist. If you couldn’t find what you want, he would create it. He had a
dream of becoming a mechanic and owning his own shop like his uncle. So, he studied mechanics at Kalamazoo
Valley Community College. A very smart move, because if you saw what he was driving, hmm…, let us just say he
saved himself a tremendous amount of money doing the DIY thing. His greatest pastime was fishing. Like father,
like son, JT would take his kids fishing. They enjoyed each moment they shared, pure quality time. JT also had a
knack of giving nicknames to everyone. Do you know “Pie” and “Boogy”? I will let them tell you who they are.
Well, we had a name for him, “Big Worm.” If you saw the movie Friday you would know why.
 
Everyone has trials and tribulations in life as Jeremy did as well. It was during those times he found the Lord and
accepted Him in his life. While he was away, he stayed in touch to let the children know he loved you to the
moon and back. No love was lost when he returned. Worm was on his way to turning things around in his
second chance in life. He did all kinds of work, a contract powerwasher, tattooing, still working on cars, and
became employed at AutoZone. He had a newfound love for motorcycles. He bought a Shadow. And of course,
it needed a little DIY TLC. For those of us who know nothing about bikes, it is the cycle brand like the Harley
Davidson. Oops! I forgot you are not to say the “H” word around Worm. He did not like them. He then joined a
motorcycle club called The Wild Bunch. That is when his life was turned around in a good way. He volunteered
there and later became employed as Bar Manager. They were like family. Remember his dream to have an
autobody shop? It was in the works. He and his best friend at WB, he loved as an uncle, got a shop together.
Things were really coming together. The icing on the cake was when he met his love at the Wild Bunch. Like I
said, family. WBFFWB Wild Bunch Forever, Forever Wild Bunch.

Despite his battle with health and all life’s pain and sorrow in the past, he was so happy this second time
around. Happy that it was all coming together, happy to be content for the first time. Just feeling good living a
free life. He was definitively a changed man. He loved us all.

brother, Ladon Wilson; Godmother, Theresa Ford; 3 uncles, Gary (Gina) Burnett, James Burnett Jr., Beryl Wilson;
6 aunts, Gwen (James) Garrison, Patsy Burnett, Sharon Wilson, Diane Burns, Christine (Stanley) Burnett, Lola
Burnett, and special aunt, Hiroe Burnett; 2 nieces, Vanessa Wilson, McKenzie Beal; 2 nephews, Terry Wilson II,
DeAndre Rose; the love of his life to the end, Stephanie Allen (aka “Doo-Wop”) and her 4 children, best bud,
“BLAZE” (aka; Roger Smith), special friends; Toyia Hopkins, Brittany Brooks, and a host of cousins and friends.
