Obituary of Norman Murray Keddy

On October 28, 2022, Norman Murray Keddy died in Kalamazoo, Michigan of natural causes. He was 83 years old.

 

Norman is survived by his wife Jeannette Ellen (Erickson) Keddy; his sisters Ruby Rietz (John) and Ernestine Holzworth (Daryl); his daughters Veronica Renea Stillson and Erica Michelle Brandt (Leon); his grandchildren Katelynn Rose Brandt, Brooklyn Ann Brandt, Lilly May Brandt, and Maverick Hudson Brandt; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Willis Johnson Keddy and Winifred Keddy (Johnson).

 

Norman was born on April 12, 1939 in Culver City, California. He graduated from El Segundo High School.  His jobs were driving dump and garbage trucks; carpentry; landscaping; and his favorite, building log cabins.  His main focus was on his ministry and volunteer work as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and he was baptized in 1953.

 

Norman married Jeannette on May 27, 1961 after they were introduced by a mutual friend at a Kingdom Hall. They welcomed Veronica in 1973 and Erica in 1982. His hobbies were fishing and camping; he enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours soaking in the sunshine; he loved reading the Bible and talking to others about what he learned.  He loved life and he loved people.  Chocolate was his favorite food group and coffee was a staple.

 

A memorial service for Norman is scheduled for November 12, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. EST at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 60755 M-40 Highway, Paw Paw, Michigan.  The memorial service will also be on Zoom, meeting ID 737 501 4785, password 458966.
