Obituary of Nelson C. Ollis

Nelson C. Ollis was born November 16, 1956 in Kalamazoo MI. He departed on Wednesday October 19,2022 at home with his family after battling cancer.

In his early years Nelson went to Kalamazoo Central High School and later enlisted in the Navy where he was honorably discharged. He married 3 times, Julie (now deceased) Tami, and Anne. They all maintained a friendship to keep the family close to one another. He was a good man with a big heart who loved spending time with his family and friends and teaching them new things. He was a very independent man who lived his life to the fullest with passion.Nelson loved to cook and was very good at it so he made that his career. He had many hobbies including whittling, drawing, and walking.

Nelson leaves to cherish his memory:

His mother Bertie Ollis, sister Vickey Ollis, his children Brenda Ollis, Juliet & Jose Anguiano Cruz, Ashley & Jason Candelaria, and River Ollis & Unique Kaylor. His Step-children whom he raised and loved the same, Dominick & Tina Dolan, and Elizabeth & Joe Diaz. His Grandchildren Dominique & Chad, Mary & Dondrell, Adrianna & Don’Tavious, Clara & Joey, Victoria, Jose Jr, Anthony, Brian, Nicholas, Marilyn, Devon, Karlie, Dakota & Brianna, Tiarra & Olin, Carmen & Rico, and Amelia. His Great Grandchildren Serenity, Emersyn, August, Don’Tavious Jr, Promise, Lai’Lani, D’Angelo, Kayden, Keegan, Kenzie, Richard and many friends.
