I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I only worked with DK a few times but he seemed like such a great kid. He will be missed by all. Prayers and thoughts to the family and his children.

DK and I worked at Hungry Howies together. I still remember the day he walked in asking for an application. He was dressed nicely, spoke softly, and was very respectful. Of course we had to bring him onto the crew.
He was one of the hardest and best workers. As a manager, I loved working with him because I knew he’d take his job seriously. But as a friend, I tried to schedule working with him often because he ALWAYS made everybody laugh and smile. I remember when we had a going away party when I left the store, he came to the party and it really meant a lot to me.
I’d like to send my condolences to the friends and family. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I hope everyone remembers him the same way I do: happy, carefree, selfless, and loving.
We love you DK.

We knew each other when we were in school and his energy was always bright. I am saddened by the news and pray for those who had more time with him.
Please wait

DeKarius had a peaceful, beautiful light and Aura around him, he was such a very respectful and soft-spoken young man. I will truly miss his lightheartedness and seeing him smile at work his smile just lit up the room. Even though I only knew him for a short time, I am blessed to have met him and been in his presence. The candle that I am sending to his family is a true reflection of the light he had around and within him. May this light be a symbol of the lives he touched while here on this earth. Sending heartfelt prayers of strength to his mother, children, family and friends.
