Obituary of Ronald Wade Davis

Ronald W. Davis, 61, died unexpectedly on September 23, 2022, at Bronson Battle Creek
Hospital. He was born February 6, 1961, in Dowagiac, MI, the son of Ronald Wade Applegate and
Patricia Ann Davis.

Ron was a free soul. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whether in person or 1 am
phone calls. He always had prime-time country playing in the background and was never without his
cowboy boots and large key ring dangling from his waist. He spent his years in construction and was
always fixing something. He loved working on cars and was a proud sponsor of his brother Delbert’s race
car. He had a unique personality but would move mountains to help those around him. He was proud of
his Indian heritage and was never at a loss for words, especially if he had the opportunity to brag about
his siblings, children, and grandchildren. He loved them all fiercely.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and his mother, Patricia. He leaves behind his long-
time girlfriend Carol Leafty and her daughter Addie Leafty, his children Margie (Shaun) Ridenour, Jason
Thompson, Shannon (Miranda) Thompson, Cordell (Taylor) Davis, Raymond Davis, 8 grandchildren,
siblings Jody (Joel) Topping and Delbert (Lisa) Davis, several nieces and nephews, and best friend Charles
Topping Senior.

Family and friends will be celebrating his life together at a later date.
