Obituary of Zola Mae Fuller

On October 12,1955 a beautiful baby girl was born to Zola Andrews and James Washington at Lallie Kemp Charity Hospital, Independence Louisiana. The baby girl was named Zola Mae after her mother. Zola was the 17th of 19 children. Zola was raised by her mother and father in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. In 1974 Zola’s mother moved them to Three Rivers Michigan where they united with the Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Rev Bobby Jo Tolbert now under the leadership of Pastor Terry L. Cropper Jr. When Zola couldn’t attend church, she would watch it on the live video.
Zola memories will be cherished by 3 daughters Shavone Fuller of Kalamazoo, MI Yvonne Fuller of Ponchatoula, LA Shaniece Fuller of Memphis, TN. 3 sons Edwin Washington of Marcellus, MI Da’Ron Fuller of Three Rivers, MI and Ca’Ron Fuller of Three Rivers MI. 24 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Six sister Eola Griffin of Tickfaw, LA Beverly (Thomas) Headspeth Three Rivers, MI Mary Williams, Benton Harbor, Mi Emma (Leon) Nelson Detroit, MI Janice Washington, Baton Rouge LA Alicia (Lamareo) Porter Sontag MS. Five brothers James Brown Jr. Sturgis, MI Joseph (Beverly) Brown Benton Harbor, MI Freddie Brown Three Rivers, MI Ted Washington Port Allen LA and James (Brenda) Washington Woodville, MS Two devoted nieces that held a place of a sister and a daughter Ivory Williams and Sabrina Banks. A very special and devoted friend, Cheri Sparks and a devoted God-daughter LaJoye Wright. A host of nieces’ nephews’ cousins and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Zola and James Washington, her husband Cofield Fuller a son Clayton Fuller seven sisters and two brothers.
