Obituary of Susan Luella Deaton

Susan L Deaton age 71 of Kalamazoo,  MI passed away on August 19, 2022, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo,  MI.

Susan was born November 5, 1950, to Wanita L Fitzsimmons and James W Hensley in Kalamazoo, MI. 

She was united in marriage on June 13, 1981, to Roy Deaton who survives. She is also survived by her son Kevin Kingsley, daughters Jen (Shawn Selner) Deaton, and Anne (Gary) Frost. Grandkids Caleb (Megan) Deaton and Justin Kingsley. Also, surviving are her brothers Jim (Ileene) Hensley, Larry (Janna) Hensley and sister Dawn (Ray) Hill, and special friend Theresa (Bob) Bowsher. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Kenneth Nichols, sisters Sherry Ballard and Peg Edwards, and her brother Tom Hensley. 

The family will be having a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
