Obituary of Mary Lee Fullerton

Ms. Mary Lee Fullerton passed away on June 19, 2022 at peace and in the company of her closest family. She was born on July 24, 1955 in Battle Creek, Ml to Lueella (Fullerton) Buchanan and Ju rel Fullerton Sr. Her family moved to Kalamazoo when she was a young girl. She attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and finished at Loy Norrix. 

She had two daughters Tamika Weekley and Kurtisha (Weekley) Henderson whom are fathered by Curtis Weekley, and being a mother became the focus of her life. She was later employed by Bronson Methodist Hospital from where she eventually retired. 

Mary Lee was a joy to be around and loved to laugh and dance. She also enjoyed being in the kitchen replicating her 'Big Mama's' recipes and teaching her girls their way around. Some of her other favotire things to do were play bingo, card games, and attend functions where she could celebrate her grandchildren in sports and other accomplishments. 
 

She was preceeded in death by her parents Lueella (Fullerton) Buchanan and Ju rel Fullerton Sr., brothers Jure I Fullerton Jr., Clifford Fullerton, Garfield "Eugene" Fullerton, and Gerald "Gary" Fullerton. Special niece Tawana (Fullerton) Henderson, sister Lisa Fullerton, and sister in love Anita "Cocoa" McGrone. 

Left to cherish her memory are children Tamika Weekley and Kurtisha & Damian Henderson Sr., brother Robert Fullerton, grandchildren Aneysha Lewis, Anieyah Henderson, Damian Henderson Jr., and Daijon Henderson; Brother in love Leroy Weekley, goddaughter Miranda Dixon, a special nephew Derondra Liggon, favorite cousin Sandra Bell, best friends/sisters Joyce "Roadie" Cameron and Jacqueline Fullerton, father of her children & dear friend Curtis Weekley, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
