Obituary of Donald Alan Kuiper

Don passed away Monday, May 25, 2022 at his home in Gobles, MI. Don was born, while his dad was serving in the military, in Norfolk, Virginia to Donald Lee & Oneta (Eby) Kuiper on June 8, 1963. Don was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing and did it in every spare moment he could. He absolutely loved Hampton Lake in Portage, MI. Don was passionate about fishing, he could out fish anyone but also loved to share his tips and tricks. It didn’t matter if it was lake fishing, ocean fishing or river fishing. Don dominated it…or at least he would tell you he did. Don also loved cooking, going out on the boat, mushroom hunting, hunting and anything else that involved being outdoors. Throughout his life he worked many jobs. One of his favorite jobs was head of maintenance at Greenspire Apartments. He also worked as a truck driver, farm worker and miscellaneous jobs such as painting, drywall & whatever he could do to help others. He is survived by his children David, Kilah & Tristan Kuiper. Step-dad, Dennis (Donna) Myers. Step-brothers, Gene (Tina) Myers and Shane (Tracy) Myers. Grandchildren, Jaydin (15), David Alan (7) and Lydia (6). Nieces and Nephews, Cory (Brandi) London, Bryan (Kathy) Littell, Michael (Madeline), Matt, Charlee (Steve), Destinee (Ronald) and Conner as well as many more great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Lee Kuiper, Oneta (Eby) Myers and sister Kimberlee Kay Ballay. Memorial service to follow at a later date.
