Obituary of Antionette Turlane Butler

Antionette Turlane Butler, 42 of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away suddenly at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 19, 2022. Antionette or Net as family and close friends of the family would call her, was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 5th, 1979, to Barbra Butler and Virgil Witherspoon. She was proceeded in death by her father Virgil Witherspoon, her maternal grandmother Earlene Madden and her sister Ernestine Witherspoon. Antionette was the oldest of her mother’s four children. She loved to watch black and white tv shows like her grandmother, most of all her favorite pastime was crossword puzzles. Her favorite food was pizza and she loved when the family brought over the new babies. She graduated from Old Central at 18 and then took classes for life skills to help cope with her disability. Antionette is survived by her mother Barbra Butler, stepfather Travis Thomas, brothers James Butler, Travis Thomas Jr, Virgil Witherspoon Jr, Dennis Witherspoon, a stepbrothers Quinton Kyle and Ortayvias Thomas, and sisters Bernice Witherspoon, Yashica Butler, and Veronica Jones. She also leaves behind two uncles, Fred Butler and Rodney Butler, an aunt Elizabeth Butler, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Net was loved by many and adored by more, and she loved her family as well. She will be missed immensely.
