Obituary of Gail Renee Lee

Gail Renee Lee departed this life on April 11, 2022, at the Medilodge Nursing facility in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born to the late Otis and Lois Kyles on December 7, 1957, at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was the oldest child of five siblings. She attended Parchment Public Schools, where she ran track. She had a knack for braiding hair and a style for sowing clothes like no other. She professed hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend M.W. Wright, of Second Baptist Church. Later she was united with Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her uncle, the late Reverend John A. Buchanan, where she faithfully served as a choir member. Gail was blessed with a God given anointed soprano voice. Her signature song was, “I’m so Glad I’ve Got Jesus On My side”. She enjoyed hanging out with her older cousins Skippy Moore and Claudine Moore. She relished in spending quality time, with her grandchildren, and a special bonding time with Kiya Jones, her only granddaughter. She would also pass time doing crossword puzzles, eating that good old BBQ, and chewing gum. Awaiting her arrival in Heaven are her husband Michael Lee, her father Otis, and her mother Lois, all of whom she loved and cherished. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories of three daughters, Kristy, LaToshia, and Shamika Jones of Kalamazoo Michigan, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Brothers Otis C. (Mary) Jones of Battle Creek Michigan, Lamont Kyles of Kalamazoo Michigan, Sisters Angela Jones and Jill (Tyrone) Moton of Kalamazoo Michigan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gail also had two dear special friends Cecilia Wilkins of Louisville Kentucky (who was like a sister), and the late Marshall Massonburg (aka Chicago), and a special Great aunt Mary Kate Gibson.
