Obituary of Grace Marie Jones

Grace M. Jones of Portage, MI. Age 91. Grace passed away peacefully on February 8, 2022. She was born August 17, 1930, in Kalamazoo to John and Jenny Meints. On July 13, 1956, she married Robert G. Jones who co-owned R.M. Jones Gift Shop and later became owners until retirement in 2009. Grace enjoyed life and Jesus. She spent lots of her time at Bethlehem Baptist church where she played the organ and was a member of the choir. She also loved bowling, where she participated in the Bowling Nationals with her friends. Grace loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. She is survived by a daughter Barbara Wright, daughter-in-law Sheri Rose Jones, brothers Mitchell and Frank Meints, her brother-in-law Trevor Jones. 5 grandchildren – Larry Wright, Jennifer (Rob) Lint, Bill (Susan) Wright, David Wright, and John (Marah) Wright and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Jones, brothers Herman and Edward Meints, sister Marion Laws, her son Ronald Jones and son-in-law Larry Wright Jr. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Loaves and Fishes or Meals on Wheels. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
