Obituary of Sidney Boyd

Sidney was born in Chicago, Illinois May 4, 1949 to Frank William and Irma Boyd. He was the seventh child born to them which they both preceded him in death. Sidney grew up with six other siblings, three sisters Evelyn, Gloria, and Mary Ann and three brothers, Frank William Jr, Jerry and Malcolm. Sidney grew up in Chicago where he attended Coleman and Parker Elementary school and Simeon High School. Sidney loved to have a good time with family and friends, music and playing pool and many family functions and socializing with friends. He always had a blast. Sidney moved to Gary, Indiana to work in the Steel Mill for the few years he resided there. When the Mill started to close he moved back to Chicago to continue to work in the construction field until he retired. Sidney leaves behind one sister Mary Ann who he was very close to, seven children, Lavell, Ucindy, Sidney jr. Oghandi, Burundi(who preceded him in death), Oona and Tinika. Sidney was a grandfather of 21 and a great-grandfather of 10. Sidney has a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. Sidney was definately was loved by all and will be truly missed by all.
