Obituary of Delma Louise Clopton

Delma Louise Clopton, a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. Born September 1, 1957 in a small-town Northeast Mississippi Called Egypt. She was born at home to Elease Clopton and Calvin Clopton Jr. She is survived by 6 brothers and sisters: Oredale, ShirleAnne, Linda, Michael, Charles, and Cleveland, 2 Children, and 4 grandchildren. Her oldest son Deauntray Clopton. Her daughter Keya-Monicha Clopton, her oldest granddaughter Eveaunce, her oldest grandson Elijah, her youngest grandson Nusear, baby granddaughter Annaliyah, her daughter in law McKenzie Clopton wife of Deauntray and another young woman Delma considered a daughter Monica Reeves and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. At the age of 16 she showed her courage and tenacity after giving birth to her son in Aberdeen, Mississippi by moving 800 miles to Michigan to reside with the Lady she was named after her Aunt Delma. Within the year she arrived she began her journey to be successful in a new place she knew little of. After almost a decade she made it into a billion-dollar company now known as Parker Hannifin. She made her Career there starting as a secretary and rose to the rank of FAA inspector. For over 40 years she tirelessly worked with dedication. She fulfilled her dream of home ownership in 1989 and married her husband Floyd Mckinney whom she divorced in 1997 after 8 years of marriage. Purchasing her home was one of the greatest accomplishments she achieved and within 15 years payed it off. Delma retired from Parker back in 2017. Delma began doing the things that truly made her happy. Finding and serving within Faith Life Church with Pastor Jerwan and Pastor K, doing the things she needed for her grandchildren and taking on a part time job to keep herself busy. She began to travel taking a trip to visit her son and daughter-in-law in Florida in 2019. She became ill in the middle of November during this pandemic. She was cared for by a dedicated team of doctors and nurses when on Sunday morning in late November 2021 she was put on a ventilator after just over a week into her being hospitalized and as she continued to fight, her condition took a turn for the worse and she made her decision to cross the threshold and be with our King Jesus, Delma took her last breath December 8, 2021 at around 10:02 a.m. If there was ever a person to be celebrated in this world upon her passing it is Delma Louise Clopton and we thank you Delma for the righteously pristine life you lived dear mother, sister, and friend.
