Obituary of Tony Eugene Laymon

Tony E. Laymon (8-14-1956/11-26-2021) passed away peacefully at home Friday, November 26, 2021. He was born and raised by Glenn and Joan (Price) Laymon in Kalamazoo Michigan. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Glenn Laymon and his parents. Tony is survived by his wife of 27 years, Deanna (Schaefer), 3 sons Ron O’Rourke (Lindsay), Don O’Rourke (Angela) and USN Chief Clinton O’Rourke. Daughter-in-law Christy Schmidt. 11 grandchildren: Kylie(Robert), Bobby, Nick, Carli, Ayden, Aysha, Kaitlyn, Isabelle, Riley, Greyson and Everleigh as well as 4 great grandchildren: Paisley, Bentley, Londynn and Grayson. Great nephew Conner Peterson. A sister Martha Peterson(Marshall) 3 brothers, Harold, Bill and Rusty Laymon. Sister in law Denise aka “Chester” Vought(Don) and brother in law Don Schaefer (Debbie). Extended family The Bragg family, Ray, Robin, Brandi(Tyler), Beca(Jared) and Curtis, Danielle and Jimmy Nelson. Several wonderful nieces and nephews. Tony drove semi for 45 years with the most recent for Prairie Farms Dairy 10+ years. He loved his job and was very good at it. His passions were his wife, work, his dogs, golf and fishing. Funeral/Memorial will take place at Threads Church on Saturday, December 18, 2021, the family will receive guests at 12:00 pm, with the service at 1:00pm.
