Thoughts of you circulate in my mind as I reflect on the years you attended our church at Rock of Revelation Apostolic Church with Bishop James C. Bailey. You had a love for drums that inspired my Brother Barry and I as young boys growing up in the church. I also remember you singing in church. Three songs come to mind that you loved singing on Men’s Day services:
- Look where he brought me from
-Hold on just a little while longer
(Everything is going to be alright)
-Jesus Dropped The Charges
You were on fire for God and through many challenges you were an inspiration to so many especially during that time period of you first coming to God and living a life of salvation.
Your mother Sister Frankie Perry would attend and testify frequently and we used to have a really good time in church. Some years passed and I remember seeing you mowing the lawn at McDonalds and once you came a revisited the church. I don’t know how well you remembered or connected to who we had grown up to become, but we never forgot the impressions you left upon us, and we were deeply impacted when we heard of your passing. Your brother Joe was my bus driver in high school and our prayers are lifted for your remaining family especially your child and siblings. You will be missed surely by those who loved you most and our prayers of comfort are extended to the Oliver and Morton family during this difficult time….. Rest In Peace Brother Anthony Oliver
In Sincere Sympathy
