Obituary of Barbara Jean Fisher
Barbara Jean (Small) Fisher 67 of Battle Creek Michigan went to be with the Lord on November 28th 2021 at home surrounded by her love ones.
Barbara was born in Battle Creek Michigan on April 13, 1954 to Minister Maceo Small Sr. and Gloria (Barnett) Small. Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and attended GOGIC Church with her family, and later joined S.M.B.C. and served on the Deaconess Ministry.
Barbara also was secretary treasurer for the women Elks Lodge of Battle Creek Chapter where she was a great mentor to the young ladies and men’s that she encountered. Barbara love to play with her granddaughter, read her Bible, travel, and watch westerns on T.V. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Barbara attended Battle Creek public schools, and received her diploma from Battle Creek Central. While attending Central high school Barbara played the saxophone in the Symphony and Follies marching band. Barbara was also active in the girl’s athletics participating in Basketball, softball and running track.
Barbara served in the United States Army at the rank of E5. She attended K.C.C. and received two degrees in Engineering and attended Michigan State University. She worked at Clark Equipment Co. Eaton Yales, Fisher Body of Lansing MI and Supervisor at Kellogg Company.
She had a zest for life and she instilled that philosophy into her Son Philip as he grew up. She had a love of nice things and was successful in achieving her goals.
Barbara is survived by her Husband Marshall Lee Fisher Sr, son Philip Small, Brothers Maceo Small Jr and Kenneth Small, Granddaughter Paris A Zara Faith Small all from Battle Creek and leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents brother Minister Robert Small Sr. and Sister Deloris (Small) Houston.
