Obituary of Doris Marie Floyd
Doris Marie Floyd went home to Jesus on October 7, 2021 at her home.
Doris was born on December 9, 1970 in Kalamazoo to Dorothy Floyd and Wilbur Floyd.
Doris grew up in Kalamazoo, MI where she attended Comstock schools for most of her school years. After high school she went on to be an over the road big rig truck driver. Driving truck was a career she thoroughly enjoyed.
Doris is preceded in death by her father Wilbur Floyd, her brother Ralph Rupe, and Grand Parents.
Doris is survived by her mother, Dorothy Floyd, her Son Jordan Floyd and significant other Amanda, sister Tammy (John Lemaster), Brother Richard (Delora) Rupe, Grand children Aiden, Jordan Jr, Jaquay, and Jaxson. She also had many nieces and nephews and close friends.
Doris is a caring mother, sister, Aunt and grandmother and a great friend to many.
Doris loved to host barbeques at her home and serving up her famous rib tips and greens which everyone loved.
Doris especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Doris also had her canine companions Tedders and Mama’s who also held a special place in her heart.
Doris’s family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life, and she will remain forever in our hearts
A memorial luncheon has been planned for immediate family and friends
